Photobook Club #3 : Street - East meet West
Date : 25 April 2026
In this Photobook Club session, we turned our attention to street photography and the many ways photographers respond to public life.
Through the books we curated, alongside those brought by participants, we discussed how the street can be approached through gesture, timing, accident, humor, atmosphere, and the shifting relationship between people and their surroundings. The conversation also touched on the differences between Western and Eastern approaches to street photography, considering how each context can shape subject matter, rhythm, and ways of seeing.
The session brought together close looking, casual exchange, and a range of personal observations from everyone in the room. Thank you to all who joined, brought books, and contributed to the conversation. We look forward to seeing you at the next Photobook Club.
